Kyle Evans: Head Coach/General Manager

 

 

Cody Inkster: Assistant Coach & Assistant General Manager

Cody was born and raised in Chase and finished off his hockey career with the local KIJHL team at the time, the Chase Chiefs. Cody also played with the Revelstoke Grizzlies for the 06-07 season under the guidance of Coach Brad Fox and then his 07-08, 08-09 seasons in Chase. As an Alternate Captain of the Chiefs, Cody played both forward and defense. Cody has been an Assistant Coach with the Heat since 2012 and has an eye for hockey talent. When he’s not with the team, Cody works as the Superintendent at a Kamloops golf course.

 

Sean Gilbert: Head Scout

Sean is based out of Calgary, Alberta.  His background includes over 20 years of coaching, 15 plus years of instruction, consulting and camp coordination.  Extensive Junior A & B scouting experience.  Contact Sean for the next step in your hockey development.

Kolten Moore: Assistant Coach

After 4 ½ years of wearing the red, white and black of the Heat “Moorsey” moved upstairs into an Assistant Coach role.  Everyone in the KIJHL knew him for being a pest.  He continues to care and be persistent in his time behind the bench.

Michael O’Rielly: Goalie Coach

Michael was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Michael has experience playing and coaching in Central, Atlantic, and Western Canada, most notably playing in the QMJHL in 17-18, and finished his career in the KIJHL. Michael recently launched his own goaltending company, O’Rielly Goaltending where he provides lessons to goalies of all ages across Canada. When Michael is not with the team, Michael works 24 hour shifts as a youth support worker in the Kamloops region. Michael is passionate on developing our goalies both on and off the ice, and committed to advancing our goalies to the next level.

 

Rick Iglesias (aka Julio): Trainer

“Julio” is the day to day magic man that tends to the wounded.  Annually the guy the players admire the most, for his attention to detail, his commitment to the team and all it’s parts.  The avid sportsman when he isn’t at the rink or on the road can be found wherever there are tee boxes and greens.  His insight to the game is invaluable and his role goes well beyond his titled role.  If you really want to know what’s happening just ask this guy!

James NorthropEquipment Manager

James is a 30 year resident of the Western Shuswap.  A retired Forester with Interfor-Adams Lake Division. The avid sportsman (ie: golf) provides expertise and attention to detail, that makes life for the players Grade A. His professional approach to life also provides a day to day example to the players as they mature into fine young men.

Tyler Harper Team Chaplain

Tyler’s role with the team is to help explore big questions about meaning and purpose, while also dealing with the stressors of sports, school, and relationships. Tyler has served as pastor of Chase Evangelical Free Church since 2017 and as Chaplin for the Heat since 2021. Tyler holds a B.A. From the University of Winnipeg and advance degrees from Trinity Western University. As Chaplin, Tyler’s goal is that each person experiences life in all its fullness.

Darryl Adamson: President

HOCKEY SUPPORT STAFF

Where would the team be without support staff? Our trainers and team doctor are proficient and professional when called upon to attend to the players. First aid supplies are well stocked to provide immediate care for a variety of potential injuries or situations. The equipment management team is well prepared for any equipment problems that may arise. Equipment at the team’s disposal includes a portable skate sharpener and a rivet machine.
 
ARENA STAFF

The arena staff, under the direction of Owen Christon, takes great pride in maintaining excellent ice and arena facilities.
