Brad Fox: Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations

 

Brad Fox joins the Chase Heat with over 20 years of coaching experience throughout Western Canada at the Junior level. He has been coach and general manager in the KIJHL for eight years. Brad has attained Advanced 1 coaching certification through Hockey Canada.He has over 30 years of experience in teaching skill development to players of all ages.. He has led numerous skills development clinics and Junior Prep camps with the goal to help the player achieve the next level. He teaches “to become a champion you must be a champion in every sense of the word…”

Larry PittendreighVice President &  General Manager

Lars is a business guy that makes the Heat his business.  Involved since startup, he served his apprenticeship with the former Chase Chiefs. From big things to small details Lars is part of every facet of operating a Junior Hockey Operation.

 

Cody Inkster: Assistant Coach & Assistant General Manager

Cody was born and raised in Chase and finished off his hockey career with the local KIJHL team at the time, the Chase Chiefs. Cody also played with the Revelstoke Grizzlies for the 06-07 season under the guidance of Coach Brad Fox and then his 07-08, 08-09 seasons in Chase. As an Alternate Captain of the Chiefs, Cody played both forward and defence. Cody has been an Assistant Coach with the Heat since 2012 and has an eye for hockey talent. When he’s not with the team, Cody works as the Superintendent at a Kamloops golf course.

 

Sean Gilbert: Head Scout

Sean is based out of Calgary, Alberta.  His background includes over 20 years of coaching, 15 plus years of instruction, consulting and camp coordination.  Extensive Junior A & B scouting experience.  Contact Sean for the next step in your hockey development.

Kolten Moore: Assistant Coach

After 4 ½ years of wearing the red, white and black of the Heat “Moorsey” moved upstairs into an Assistant Coach role.  Everyone in the KIJHL knew him for being a pest.  He continues to care and be persistent in his time behind the bench.

Colin McGill: Goalie Coach

Birthplace: Ayr, Scotland

Lives: Kamloops, BC

Wife: Alexandra McGill

Kids: 1:  Westin McGill 1year old

Dogs: 2: Bernese Mountain Dogs (Willow 8Years old, Versace 2Years old)

Started Hockey in Scotland for South Ayrshire Hockey Club moving to North Ayrshire hockey club for remaining youth years. After this Colin moved to Canada to play Midget Hockey at Okanagan Hockey Academy continuing to junior A is USA and then on to Minot State College in North Dakota.

Colin Left College Early to Play Professional Hockey in the UK including with Paisley Pirates, WightLink Raiders (isle of Wight) and BraeHead Clan in the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Even with having a great Playing background Colins Resume in Coaching is a lot longer.

Colin Has Coached with Many Coaches including:

Goalie Coach – gained initial experience working under Magnum Rahm (Swedish National Jr Goalie Coach)

Alex Ryder (Swiss Goalie Coach)

Gunnar Svensson (Swedish Coach and NHL Player Agent)

Pasi Raitanen (Finish Goalie & Coach)

And was also The Goaltending coach at the best of British hockey schools.

Colin Has traveled and build a coaching resume with styles and knowledge from many countries and has found a way to combine the best of European and North American Hockey.

Colin Is an All-round Goalie Coach But Has a Expert focus on Movement, Skating and Puck Handling.

Even with Colins Goaltending focus he also has Great Knowledge and Experience working on player mobility and skating along with defensive specific and special teams Coaching.

Colin is excited to join the Chase Heat organization as a member of the Coaching staff.

Rick Iglesias (aka Julio): Trainer

“Julio” is the day to day magic man that tends to the wounded.  Annually the guy the players admire the most, for his attention to detail, his commitment to the team and all it’s parts.  The avid sportsman when he isn’t at the rink or on the road can be found wherever there are tee boxes and greens.  His insight to the game is invaluable and his role goes well beyond his titled role.  If you really want to know what’s happening just ask this guy!

James NorthropEquipment Manager

James is a 30 year resident of the Western Shuswap.  A retired Forester with Interfor-Adams Lake Division. The avid sportsman (ie: golf) provides expertise and attention to detail, that makes life for the players Grade A. His professional approach to life also provides a day to day example to the players as they mature into fine young men.

HOCKEY SUPPORT STAFF

Where would the team be without support staff? Our trainers and team doctor are proficient and professional when called upon to attend to the players. First aid supplies are well stocked to provide immediate care for a variety of potential injuries or situations. The equipment management team is well prepared for any equipment problems that may arise. Equipment at the team’s disposal includes a portable skate sharpener and a rivet machine.
 
ARENA STAFF

The arena staff, under the direction of Doug Copeland, takes great pride in maintaining excellent ice and arena facilities.
