ROAD TO JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

On behalf of the Chase Heat Hockey Club and Fox Hockey we invite you to attend an experience over 4 days that will provide players & parents with critical learnings and development resources to the Junior game.

The RTJ program has been a work in progress for 10 years now of learning what was really important to offer players in chasing their dreams of one day playing junior hockey and potentially longer.

We cannot make you a hockey player, no one can. We can however give you the resources to attain a high level of success on and off the ice. This template in teaching creates your foundation as a person first and player second. First, we establish COURAGE in you. Second, we grow CONFIDENCE in your make up of both player and person. Finally, we teach you how to grow your RESILIENCE going forward.

This is not about developing hockey players; this is about growing people.
The game of hockey is simply a by- product of that. Please take the time to review our outline in the schedule and registration information.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me directly through email or my cell.

DETAIL

Please note: This is not a recreational camp. This is for players who are driven to pursue the Junior Hockey process. This is designed for the players who may be seen as under the radar players but have the make up within them. This is an elite concept template of structure and commitment. In order for us to accomplish the value to you the players and parents we will be taking the players we feel will benefit the most because of their make up. The whole point is to give you what you need to hear not what you want to hear in the commitment first and foremost as a player. That is the first concept athletes and parents have to understand. We will be screening the 2007 group of players accepted to ensure they are at this level for their confidence and safety. We will accept 15 forwards, 8 defensemen and 3 goaltenders.

SEMINARS: Every seminar is prepared for both the players and the parent equally. I strongly suggest that at least one parent take in every seminar. They are designed to give information that is factual in how this process plays out. The value for you as parents understanding how to best support your child’s dream has proven to be critical in the end result.

ON ICE SESSIONS: Playing junior hockey is about detail in every capacity. You will learn how to incorporate the (mental) (emotional) (physical) skills to go to the next level of play.
Through teaching you game reads in every position. Anticipation, Ice awareness, Vision overview to be ahead of what is next in a game for you as a goalie, defenseman, or forward.

GAMES SESSIONS: These are comprised of mini games through out the session. This is putting it all together for you as a player. Because every mini game is game specific designed, this has proven to improve players the quickest and give them a real sense of confidence and enjoyment.

COST & REGISTRATION: Please go to our website under camps to download the forms. The camp fee is $250.00 per player plus taxes. The value is 12 hours of ice and detailed development.

WHERE: Art Holding Memorial Arena: Chase B.C.

PLAYERS MESSAGE: Never give up on your dreams because of the time it will take to accomplish them. The time will pass anyway!

CHASE HEAT 2021
PROSPECTS SELECTION CAMP

AUGUST 13TH – AUGUST 16TH
AUGUST 19TH – AUGUST 22ND

PERSONAL INVITATION:

On behalf of the Chase Heat Junior Hockey program, we would like to invite you to our culture of being a potential player in our program going forward. Our focus in this 4-day camp is to accomplish 2 major factors in this process. The first is to provide the players & parents with a comprehensive detailed on and off ice complete player development concept that produces results.  The second is to evaluate and offer potential players for a junior program for the upcoming season in an elite junior experience to develop as players but more importantly people. Over the course of these 4 days, you will experience a shortened version of WHAT, HOW, & WHY our program is elite. We pride ourselves on recruiting families and going to another level of value returned to you. Our selection process is not primarily talent driven, but more so the potential through overall makeup. The motto is simple. The 25 right players to wear our jersey not necessarily the 25 best players. We have proven this to be what makes our foundation of “CULTURE” which translates into long term success.

Our camps in the detail of how we run gives us an exceptional opportunity to identify our future players in our system through-out the 4 days. It gives the parents and players an exceptionally good measuring stick in looking at affiliations in a Junior program Over these 4 days, we will be hosting seminar presentations for our recruits and their parents to have a true understanding of what separates us from most. The detail and diligence in the key areas from your perspective in what is required and expected over the course of a 7-month season commitment.

We pride ourselves on the core values to each and everyone associated with our program. We will not make promises we cannot deliver. We can however assure you the respect, integrity, and constant communication to provide you with the resources to excel. What we expect is the exact same in return. The work and unwavering commitment begins with our people and passed on to you to undertake.

We will be holding 2 separate selection camps that will consist of 26 players per camp. Our roster for each camp will have 3 goaltenders only. We will only be taking 8 defensemen and 15 forwards per camp. The Chase Heat dressing room will be your home through out the camp to give you the players the complete experience of our culture and expectations in the Junior experience. The purpose for holding 2 smaller selection camps is to ensure no one gets lost in the process from our staff through-out the 4 days. We will be in constant communication on and off the ice in coming together in this unique setting of a team.

Once we completed these 2 camps, we will have our Veterans and selected players begin our Main Camp & exhibition season Tuesday September 7th. The players returning will either be placed in a temporary BILLET HOME or a permanent home on this week.

MENTAL HEALTH – Justin Brien is a former player of mine as well as a friend who has experienced firsthand what life can throw at you and all the challenges.  He has over come them to become a life coach in mental health capacity. He is passionate and truthful in who he is and what he represents. For athletes today, this is the foundation of being in a good place in your well being as a person first.

ALBERTA SCOUT – Eric Bay works out of Calgary as well in the recruiting capacity with our program. Eric comes to us now in his second season through working closely with Sean in an Assistant Coaching role as well. His contributions in identify players and setting up a data base for us has already shown us great promise moving forward.
